Mobile Showers for the Unhoused
We at Overflow 9:12 serve the unhoused in Coachella Valley, California, with warm mobile showers, hygiene and grooming products, basic clothing and grace bags to go. And as often as possible we partner with a wide range of additional vital providers such as medical organizations, social services, civic groups, hot meal providers and caring volunteers in order to serve the unhoused with the hope-filled hand-to-hand love of God.
Overflow 9:12 is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charity. We are supported through the gifts and donations of individuals, families, businesses, foundations, churches, and anyone who wishes to
Overflow Showers, Compassion, Grace and Hope.
How It Works

Our guests will sign in and be given hygiene products and a clean change of clothing before entering the shower.
​
Designed to be mobile so we can go to those who need us where they need us to be, the shower unit contains two private stalls, each with its own private entrance, a sink, bench, stand-up shower with hot water and air conditioning. With 15 minutes of hot water available for each person, in a three-hour period we can offer showers to at least 20 individuals, and many more when external power and water sources are available.

After our guests have enjoyed a refreshing shower, they can choose from a variety of grooming items, basic clothing, water and snacks to take with them. As often as possible various partners, many of whom are already providing vital unhoused services, will be onsite to offer hot meals, haircuts, medical, behavioral and personal care, and more.

Relationships are a fundamental element of Overflow 9:12. With our valued volunteers, generous host sites, collaborative partner organizations and our guests whom we welcome with open arms, we strive to cultivate meaningful connections that lift everyone with respect and dignity.

Everything we do is an overflow from the Inspiration, Vision and Mission that God has purposed for our lives. You can read about all that in the Who We Are section, but it's really easy to summarize: loving and serving others in the way of Jesus.
